Here is the link to the blog site of one of my best pal. We were roomies in college days...this cute guy is a diehard Microsoft fan!! A techie who used to be a part time hacker, web designer and what not....
He used to put on Blue eyes (contact lenses I mean) and flirt with every other short gurl he met:-) Saw many ups and downs in life and now found a perfect partner, married and settled:-)

A couple of days back I came across a article in Outlook. It was written by some well known (I did not know...) pakistani fashion designer, choreographer & columnist- Freiha Khan. It was about indo-pak relations and the ongoing cricket series....I found one statement in the article which best summarizes pakistani psyche.."Ours is an emotional nation and people here love and hate with tremendous passion. Currently our love knows no bounds" . How true! we have seen their hate before and for a change we are seeing their love!
As for India, I think we too are emotional and can love with passion, but about hate I think we are little meek...I feel ones love and enemity should be at par..But I'm not sure if I can put on a pakistani T-Shirt and cheer their team in case they visit us, like their people are doing for our team...double standards u may say..but I feel that its all about craze for cricket, When indo-pak meet it has to be the home team which wins...great job team-India for proving this false....congrats!

I interviewed a college junior yesterday. Maan she was pathetic, zero fundamentals! Looks like I will have to go and talk to my college dept HOD N tell him that the standards are really going down!!

You see I was not too bright in college (what do u expect when u miss half the lectures and sleep in the remaining half ?? ) but still I managed to score decently in most of my exams and I do know a thing or two pretty well..but this junior of mine really made me ponder.....

Yesterday, I finally managed to catch the glimpse of George Michaels new song "Amazing" from the new album "Patience"...simply too good !, once again the venerable, dashing gay proves his merits....maan how many times do you wonder about sexuality and why men go against nature! Imagine what that stud dude must be missing on account of being a gay! (with all due respects to the gay community) ..but sheer waste of life...

Democracy- Apathy is thy name!
--------------------------------
Last week,I did an important thing in my life. I mustered up all my enthusiasm to get some documents like passbooks photocopied and approach the nearest revenue office in Jaynagar. Why? to get my name enlisted in the voter list for the upcoming general elections. Had no idea that I had a typical 'sarkari' welcome in store for me!
The babu sitting there looked very bored to see me, when I told him in english about the purpose of my visit, he replies in impeccable english that he doesnt speak english! Then he asks me in kannada if I speak kannada, I understood that much and replied in hindi 'No'. Then he gave a wicked smile and says to some chamcha nearby that "these ppl stay in bangalore for 3 yrs and doo not speak kannada" I understood the meaning from few words I heard and then started a flurry of choicest abuses in Marathi, my mother toungue. I fired him and gave a sound lecture to him on importance of learning hindi as a govt official, he was quite aghast at that (looks like no one had fired him that much inhis entire life). But by that time the ass* had thought of some clever means to fend me off. he asked me what address proof I had brought when I told him about bank passbook, he gave a triumphant smile and said that it cannot be accepted as proof of address and only gas and telephone bills will do.I didnt have it and it was the last day to get enlisted:-( Though times of india had given a news for public convenience that bank passbook also will do as address proof...
(Note that now all the conversation was in english!) So finally the rascal had won and Indian democarcy lost a responsible citizens crucial vote!
So much for democracy....
